A lot of my friends critize my taste of movies because my best genre is psychological thriller, but I also like action movies. Well, psychological thrillers are different with other genres, it’s harder to understand. The story emphasizes the psychology or mind state of the characters, including their perceptions, thoughts, distortions, and general struggle to grasp reality, which make it more interesting. Psychological thrillers focus on story, character development, choice, and moral conflict, fear and anxiety drive the psychological tension in unpredictable ways.
1. The Butterfly Effect (2004)
In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependency on initial conditions in which a small change at one place in a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. BUt don’t worry, this film is not about mathematics. The main story is about a guy with harmful memories who finds out that he has the ability to travel back in time to inhabit his former self and to change the present by changing his past behaviours. Isn’t this interesting? Well with Ashton Kutcher as the main actor, this won’t bore you.
2. Anamorph (2007)
The film is about a seasoned detective named Stan Aubray, who notices that a case he has been assigned to bears a striking similarity to a previous case of his. The film is based on the concept of anamorphosis, a painting technique that manipulates the laws of perspective to create two competing images on a single canvas.
3. Black Swan (2010)
Ballet with a little bit of terror, what could be more fascinating. The production requires a ballerina to play the innocent and fragile White Swan, for which the committed dancer Nina Sayers, is a perfect fit, as well as the dark and sensual Black Swan, which are qualities embodied by the new arrival Lily. Nina is overwhelmed by a feeling of immense pressure when she finds herself competing for the part, causing her to lose her tenuous grip on reality and descend into a living nightmare. Ambition shouldn’t make you lose your mind.
4. Dream House (2011)

He thinks his name is Will Atenton, a successful publisher who quit a job in New York City to relocate his family. As the time goes, Will discovers their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her children. When Will investigates the tragedy, his only lead comes from Ann Paterson, a neighbor who was close to the family that died.

The mysterious man named John Shooter, starts haunting him for justice. 8. Heavy Rain (Game, 2010)
I know this is a game, but Heavy Rain is a drama interactive video game so it’s okay for me to put this on our list. There are four diverse protagonists involved with the mystery of the Origami Killer, a serial killer who uses extended periods of rainfall to drown his victims. It’s not so hard to play the game, and the story is so interesting, you won’t get tired of playing this.
Well, okay that’s all for now, my hands began tired of typing.. so bye..
